MAY 6 - WALK / RUN FOR THE ANIMALS
Presented by The Southwest Washington Humane Society

The Walk/Run for the Animals is an annual pet-friendly walk that raises money to help the Humane Society continue providing medical care, shelter, and adoption services to thousands of pets every year. There is a route for runners and for walkers, and with feature booths with swag along the way. Be sure to drop by the Go With Ro booth to say hello! WEEKENDS - VANCOUVER FARMERS MARKET

This award winning farmer’s market home to more than 100 vendors selling fresh and local produce, flowers, plants, baked goods, delicious food, pet treats, and accessories for yourself, home, or garden. The Vancouver Farmers Market is a pet friendly place where you can chat with people who have grown or created your purchase, grab a bite to eat, listen to music, stroll through the park, watch the kids play, and enjoy a wonderful day.

JUN 10 - PRIDE BLOCK PARTY
Dandelion Teahouse & Apothecary

Vancouver’s second ever Pride block party! The event will span 7th street in downtown Vancouver, from Main to Washington. It will feature live local music, performances by the local drag community, activities for all ages, a "Wear Your Pride" community fashion show (with voting and prizes!), and more! This is a free, family-friendly event.

Nature & Outdoor Events In Clark County

APR 20 - SAKURA CHERRY TREE FESTIVAL
Clark College, 1933 Fort Vancouver Way, Vancouver, WA 98663

This event celebrates the gorgeous cherry trees located on Clark College campus and Japanese culture. This years event will feature a performance from Portland Shishimai Kai, as well as a kimono showcase, early childhood education student art showcase, exhibits including ikebana, a tea ceremony, the Japanese Club, and Camas Kendo Club, and more.

APR 22 - EARTH DAY INTERPRETIVE HIKE
Vancouver Lake Regional Park, 6801 NW Lower River Road, Vancouver WA 98660

Presented by the Columbia Estuary Partnership and The Watershed Alliance of SW WA, this group hike will explore a riparian forest and teach about the watershed, native plants, and look for migrating birds. This hike is suitable for all ages and will be about 2 miles long on a level, gravel path around Vancouver Lake.

APR 22 - MAY 14 - LILAC DAYS AT HULDA KLAGER GARDENS
115 South Pekin Road, Woodland, WA 98674

During peak Lilac season, Hulda Klager Gardens hosts their annual “Lilac Days” to celebrate the beauty of lilacs in bloom. Visitors can walk through the gardens and purchase cut lilacs for sale. Entry fee is $5 and children under 12 enter free.

MAY 13 - CAMAS PLANT & GARDEN FAIR
Downtown Camas

This large plant fair draws thousands to downtown Camas to enjoy and explore an amazing selection of plants, trees, garden supplies, and more. There will be kids’ activities, live music, entertainment, food, and more to enjoy!

Events For Kids In Clark County

APR 14 - 15 - KLINELINE KIDS FISHING DAY
Klineline Pond & Salmon Creek Park

This event is hosted by the Klineline Kids Fishing Nonpforit and leads kids through all the fundamentals of fishing, from how to bait a hook, make a cast, land a fish, and clean the catch. It promotes an understanding of our natural environment and is accessible to all. April 15 is their main day, and April 14th is a day that will cater to special needs children.

APR 14 - 15 - LEMONADE & JUNIOR MARKET DAY
Esther Short Park

This event invites kids from across the region to sell their hand-made or home-grown products at a Junior Market. It gives young entrepreneurs an opportunity to test their skills as they run their own business for a day at no cost! The event is a partnership between Lemonade Day Greater Vancouver and Main Squeeze OnPoint Community Credit Union.

APR 22 - 23 - VANCOUVER SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA PRESENT “AN AMERICAN IN PARIS”
Skyview Concert Hall

Experience Gershwin’s vibrant portrait of Paris in the 1920s! Featuring renowned guest conductor Gerard Schwarz and master cellist Julian Schwarz, you’ll love this tour of the greats of American music.

APR 22 - BATTLE GROUND ART ALLIANCE SPRING SHOW & SALE
Battle Ground Community Center

This annual art sale showcases locally crafted paintings, mixed media pieces, sculptures, jewelry, textiles, and more. Hosted by the Battle Ground Art Alliance, the event supports bringing art to our community and champions emerging and seasoned artists alike.

MAY 9 - 13 - SOCIETY OF WASHINGTON ARTISTS SPRING SHOW
Vancouver United Church of Christ

This annual art show is the largest in SW Washington and features everything from traditional oil paintings to contemporary mixed media to 3D sculpture. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the artists behind the pieces at the Artist Reception on May 12, 2023, at 6 pm and learn about their inspiration and creative process.

Runs & Races In Clark County

APR 23 - SPRING CLASSIC DUATHLON, HALF MARATHON
Vancouver Lake Park

Kick off the racing season with this annual Spring Classic Duathlon, Half Marathon, 10K & 5K. The track runs along the well known pancake flats of Vancouver Lake and features beautiful scenery of the lake and Columbia River. The run benefits CDM Caregiving Services, Clark County's oldest and largest provider of in-home care to the elderly and people of all ages with disabilities, and Angels of America, who work to build awareness about America’s special needs community through inclusions in all aspects of life.

MAY 21 - REFLECTION RUN
Washougal Waterfront Park

The 8th Annual Reflection Run will honor the brave men and women who have or are currently serving in our Armed Forces and remember those who have given the ultimate sacrifice fighting for our freedom. The Half Marathon, 10K & 5K running and walking courses travels along the mighty Columbia River with views of Mt. Hood and the Gorge. The routes will be lined with local Hero Posters of those who have given the ultimate sacrifice and the event will benefit Northwest Battle Buddies & various Military Organizations and Non-profits.

Community Events & Celebrations

FIRST FRIDAYS OF EVERY MONTH - VDA FIRST FRIDAYS & CAMAS FIRST FRIDAYS

Every first Friday of the month throughout the year, participating merchants and restaurants in Downtown Vancouver and Camas host pop ups, live music, after-hours shopping, events, games and more. In Vancouver, each month also features an art walk of local artists and vendors. In Camas, the First Friday’s are geared around one specific event or theme. You can see a calendar of upcoming Camas First Fridays on their website.

JUN 17 - JUNETEENTH FREEDOM CELEBRATION
Esther Short Park

Juneteenth celebrates the liberation of the last African American slaves in Texas by American soldiers in June of 1865. This free community celebration will include a variety of musical acts including Jujuba (a 10-piece Afrobeat and Juju band) and gospel music, historical art installations, kids activities, local vendors, and much more.
