SEP 6-22 - CLARK COUNTY 2024 PARADE OF HOMES
Reserve at Lake River

Event Description:
Enjoy the latest in high-end home construction at the GRO Parade of Homes. Walk-through three stunning homes on a single site overlooking Lake River. SEP 19 - INTRO TO LEATHERWORK WORKSHOP

”Join us in learning about the basic techniques and tools of stamping designs on leather. MacKenzie Krumhauerof MAK Leather Goods will lead us in using a variety of stamps to create different patterns or designs. You will be able to select and complete a project during the course. OCT 4 - PUMPKIN PAGEANT & PIXAR COSTUME CONTEST

Event Description
”Participating downtown businesses will each carve/decorate a pumpkin, and you get to vote for your favorite! Voting enters you to win cool fall-themed prizes! Come dressed as your favorite PIXAR character and enter the Costume Contest! Prizes will be given for Best Costume Winners and Runners up for adults and children, as well as an award for Best Group Costume. The contest starts at 7 pm in Journey, 304 NE 4th. OCT 5 - BIRDFEST & BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL
Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge

Event Description
"BirdFest & Bluegrass is a joint event planned in partnership between the City of Ridgefield and the Friends of the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge to celebrate the Refuge, the community, and everything nature has to offer. BirdFest & Bluegrass includes birding activities at the Refuge, vendors, kids crafts, Bluegrass performances, and a Pickers Festival.”

OCT 5 - OLD APPLE TREE FESTIVAL
Old Apple Tree Park

Event Description
"The festival celebrates our community and its rich heritage by providing family fun, food, music, and the history of Vancouver’s Old Apple Tree. Throughout the day, Urban Forestry Commissioners give away cuttings from the Old Apple Tree; cuttings are limited and will be given out until they are gone.
The festival features community apple cider pressing. Bring your own apples and a clean container to catch your fresh cider. Approximately 12 lbs of apples will make a quart of cider. Volunteers are needed for the cider pressing station. Contact Urban Forestry to learn more.”

OCT 13 - GIRLFRIENDS RUN HALF MARATHON
Vancouver Waterfront Park

"The 18th Annual Girlfriends Run offers a Half Marathon, 10K & 6K designed specifically for women to get together to do something good for themselves and to help support a very important women’s cause. Benefits the Pink Lemonade Project.

We started this event to honor and support one of our BFFs, Joleen Skarberg, who was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and continues to run it every year with her daughters, sisters, nieces, cousins and girlfriends! Watch for her – she’ll be wearing #1!”

OCT 19 - LUMINARIAS DE MUERTOS

"This event begins at 9AM and presses 10,000 pounds of apples into cider and is open to the public. Everyone is encouraged to get involved. The younger visitors are welcome to join the volunteers inside the Mill to help press the cider. The rumbling of the water powered belt and pulley system, the dimly lit mill, the floor covered with sawdust and the sweet smell of the fresh pressed apple juice makes an atmosphere that will put a smile on the faces of all visitors. Come down, join the fun and take home a jug of fresh pressed apple cider.“
