The weather is just starting to cool off and pumpkin spice latte’s are back on the market which means it’s time to break out the sweaters and Fall decor! This season is a particularly busy time in Clark County with full calendar of Halloween and seasonal events from Vancouver to Washougal and everything in between. We’ve highlighted some of our favorite events to celebrate the season below!

OCT 7 - HUMANE SOCIETY UNLEASH YOUR HEART GALA & AUCTION
Ilani Resort & Casino - Cowlitz Ballroom

This annual gala raises critical funds for the animals in need in Clark County! The night will include food, wine, impact stories, and a live auction (which the Go With Ro team is very proud to sponsor this year!). We absolutely hope to see you there and are proud to support the Humane Society’s mission to rescue, return, restore, rehome, and reconnect one animal at a time. Let us know if you are coming so we can be sure to say hi!

WEEKENDS - VANCOUVER FARMERS MARKET

This award winning farmer’s market home to more than 100 vendors selling fresh and local produce, flowers, plants, baked goods, delicious food, pet treats, and accessories for yourself, home, or garden. The Vancouver Farmers Market is a pet friendly place where you can chat with people who have grown or created your purchase, grab a bite to eat, listen to music, stroll through the park, watch the kids play, and enjoy a wonderful day.

Halloween Events In Clark County

SEPT 1 - OCT 28 - CCHM HAUNTED WALKING TOURS
Clark County Historical Museum

Hosted by the Clark County Historical Museum, the annual haunted walking tours explore the memories, stories, and research of the darker side of our local history. The tour is recommended for those age 10 and up and they happen rain or shine.

SEP 17 - CUSTOM CANDLE MAKING & SIP PARTY
Heathen Brewing Feral Public House

Two local businesses we love—Heathen Brewing and Paint Nite PNW—are joining forces for a Halloween themed candle making workshop! All tools and materials are provided by Paint Nite PNW and Heathen Brewing’s bar and kitchen will be open for participants. Recommended for teens and up!

THURS - SUN, SEPT 23 - OCT 29 - BI-ZI FARMS PUMPKIN PATCH & HARVEST FEST
9504 NE 119th Street, Vancouver, WA 98662

Bi-Zi is a local Clark County favorite farm and their annual pumpkin patch and harvest festival is a fun, family-friendly way to spend a weekend day. In addition to u-pick pumpkin patch, they have a corn maze, pumpkin “launcher”, farm animals, bale maze, corn play area, pedal tractor driving, calf roping, corn shelling and grinding, live music, and fresh pressed apple cider.

OCT 6 - PUMPKIN PAGEANT & NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS COSTUME CONTEST
Downtown Camas Association

Participating businesses in Downtown Camas will be carving/decorating pumpkins to be voted on by attendees! There will also be a Nightmare Before Christmas-themed costume contest with prizes for adults, kids, and groups. Live music, food, kids activities, festive fall shopping and more will also be available at this fun seasonal event.

OCT 12 - 28 - CINEMA OF HORRORS DRIVE IN

Clark County Event Center at the Fairgrounds

A live-action, drive-in horror movie experience where monsters from the screen come to life. They will be airing 16 different horror thrillers, each accompanied by monsters lurking outside your car window. They also have family nights for a more PG experience.

OCT 31 - HALLOWEEN FRIGHT NIGHT
Battle Ground Community Center

This annual Halloween celebration starts with a trick-or-treat route down Main Street that ends at the Battle Ground Community Center for more festivities and fun. There will be games, prizes, and (of course) candy, as well as a haunted bus ride, “trunk-or-treat” hosted by Summit View Church, and more.

Food & Drink Festivals

SEP 16 - BREWING BRIDGES COLLABORATION FESTIVAL
Pearson Air Museum

This annual festival is now in its 5th year! The event connects 20+ local breweries with 20+ out-of-the-area breweries (including Oregon, Texas, Nevada, and Northern Washington!) to collaborate on unique and never-before-seen beers. Enjoy the newly crafted brews and enjoy the provided food!

SEP 29 - ILANI OCTOBERFEST
Ilani Resort

Hosted by Ilani Resort each year, there will be hundreds of German, international, and local brews available as well as a selection of traditional Bavarian foods from bratwurst to sauerkraut.

OCTOBER - DINE THE COUVE
Participating Restaurants Across Clark County

For the entire month of October, restaurants, breweries, and wine-tasting rooms will serve special menus for dine-in and takeout. Participating restaurants will also offer a "3 courses for $25" or "4 course for $35" meals, with fixed menus of soups, salads, appetizers, entrees, desserts, and craft beverages.

Charity Walks & Runs In Clark County

SEP 16 - APPLETREE MARATHON, HALF MARATHON, & SUNSET 5K

This will be the 6th Annual Peacehealth Appletree run and it is regarded as one of the prettiest and most unique courses in the Northwest. This year will also include a First Responder’s Relay which will honor Peace Officers, Health Care Professionals, Fire Safety, and our military. The full programming will benefit the Police Activities League, a non-profit that works to promote positive relationships between law enforcement officers and youth in the Clark County community through educational programs and recreational opportunities.

SEP 16 - RELAY FOR LIFE CLARK COUNTY
Esther Short Park

Relay For Life is the signature fundraising event for the American Cancer Society. This fundraising event will raise funds for groundbreaking cancer research and patient care programs while celebrating local cancer survivors. The event will feature music, activities, food, and a short, accessible walk through Downtown Vancouver.

SEP 24 - WALK TO END ALZHEIMER’S SW WASHINGTON
Esther Short Park

This annual charity walk is hosted by the Alzheimer’s Association and raises funds for the research toward methods of prevention, treatment, and cure. The route is roughly 3 miles on paved road and there is no fee to enter.

OCT 8 - GIRLFRIENDS WALK/RUN
Vancouver Waterfront - 695 Waterfront Way

The Girlfriends Walk / Run was started by a group of friends to honor and support one of their BFF's Joleen Skarberg, in her battle with Breast Cancer. Joleen still runs the race each year along with her daughters, sisters, nieces, cousins, and girlfriends. This year will be the 17th annual Girlfriends Walk / Run and the entire event is designed for women to get together and raise money for the Pink Lemonade Project and Kearney Breast Center.

OCT 29 - SCARY RUN
Reflection Plaza - Pendleton Way, Washougal, WA

This Halloween-costume-filled annual run features lots of seasonal festivities and is kid-friendly for any families looking to tackle the shorter distances. The run benefits Korey's Joy Drive which provides toys and warm clothing to those in need during the holidays.

Other Fall Events

SEP 30 - CEDAR CREEK GRIST MILL CORNBREAD DAY
43907 NE Grist Mill Road, Woodland, WA 98674

Cedar Creek Grist Mill is a working museum that shows visitors the inside workings of a grist mill of the late 1800’s. Each year at the end of September, they host “Cornbread Day” and make fresh cornbread from freshly grown corn and pear it with fruit jam, hot peppers bacon, cheese, herbs, and more. It’s a totally delicious and unique way to spend a day!

OCT 7 - BIRDFEST & BLUEGRASS
Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge

BirdFest and Bluegrass is the main event every year that the Friends & the City of Ridgefield put on to bring awareness to Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge. It celebrates the endangered Sandhill Crane's annual return to the Refuge, and all the hundreds of migratory species that call the Refuge home. The City of Ridgefield will be hosting various in-person in-town events (including vendors, pop ups, and live music), and the Refuge will host special tours, hikes, and workshops to teach visitors about the native birds and their importance to our local ecosystem.

OCT 21 - LUMINARIA DIA DE MUERTOS
Esther Short Park

This free event will take place in Esther Short Park and celebrate the Day Of The Dead. The holiday is dedicated to remembering and honoring those who have departed, and the event will be a celebration of life, love, and healing. There will be luminarias, traditional Mexican dancing, music, guest artists, catrinas, and an ofrenda of the beloved deceased. This is a free, family-friendly event that will take place rain or shine.
